Dominic Pangborn is a well-known, prolific designer and artist whose life work took center stage in a retrospective exhibit – Evolution of Art and Design Through Revolution. The 60+ piece, three-month-long showing launched with a special evening event.
We were charged with sharing Dominic’s unique story for the event through multiple traditional and social media platforms. The event needed photo and video coverage along with printed materials including designing a 60-page program book.
We worked closely with Dominic to tell his narrative as a Korean-American realizing his dream in the art world, we leveraged his notability in design to highlight his fine art, and we embraced his design aesthetic to produce materials in harmony with his work.
Media outlets (television, radio, print, online news sources) covered news of the event and Dominic’s active career. We provided support creating news releases and a cohesive communications strategy to point back to the event.
Original assets were created for Dominic’s digital press kit, event materials, social channels and program book.
An in studio interview, b-roll package and works of art footage were captured and edited to produce a video for release to PBS and MSNBC.
We produced and deployed event-related PR and social assets, and designed and produced associated exhibit collateral – invitations, email, a 60-page book and two-page takeaway.
Using the artist’s affinity for red as inspiration, we carried the color through to the exhibit and all accompanying print and digital assets. The highly attended opening drew attendees from around the country with noteworthy traction on social and traditional media platforms.
