The Michigan Science Center (MiSci) is becoming the premier center for informal learning in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for the State of Michigan. MSC has over 250 exhibits, 3 stages, 4 theaters, and more than two dozen ways to customize your visit.
MiSci came to us looking for a way to integrate their dynamic and engaging exhibits and activities into a similarly captivating digital experience. MiSci’s new website also needed to be able to pull together their leadership and contributions to education in science and technology.
In order to convey the excitement and activity of the MiSci space, we developed a dynamic, modular homepage that allows for updated and engaging content. The MiSci digital experience is now more intuitive, concise, and dynamic allowing for the advancement of science and technology to lead the way.
Tapping into MiSci’s existing analytics we found that a majority of MiSci’s users were accessing the site on a mobile device. With our insight on mobile users and additional site usability testing, we were able to develop an intuitive navigation and streamline the user experiences in order to bring more people into MiSci’s doors.
